What are the benefits of Nia?
As a movement program, Nia is based on the Pleasure Principle: if it feels good keep doing it, if it hurts, stop! Amongst the myriad of benefits, Nia balances the autonomic nervous system, enhances sensory awareness, builds reservoirs of chi and alleviates emotional problems, including depression, anxiety and stress. It’s uplifting, invigorating and fun!
What is Nia?
Nia is a personal growth, body-mind-spirit fitness program. It is a “living system” that works with the natural wisdom and intelligence of the body, mind, spirit, and emotions. Nia movement is based on the design and function of the body, known as “The Body’s Way.” With 52 basic moves, Nia movement is multi-dynamic and multi-directional.

How can you use Nia as a healing tool?

What the experts say:
“Nia feels natural and opens up insights and feelings that will make you feel like you are discovering yourself in a new way.” says Bernie Siegel, M.D. Author of Love, Medicine & Miracles & 365 Prescriptions for the Soul
“You’re burning fat and calories, building your muscles, giving your heart a real workout - but you’re not pounding, running or panting. Your feet are planted, your mind is calm, your body is fluid. Welcome to Nia.” Natural Health Magazine
