Your intuition is like any other faculty - the more you use it - the more refined it becomes

"
Although I spent 30 years working in the field of corporate Graphic Design, my painting career took a major step forward when I discovered the voice of my 'inner child' or intuition. This happened during a 3 day intuitive painting course when I painted 28 paintings from my feelings, under the guidance of the late Jane-Cory Wright.

It was as if my 'inner child' was standing in the room with me saying "I am your guide... if you listen to me I will guide you every step of the way. If not, I will play jeopardy with your life."

I made a commitment there and then, to always listen to my intuition. I felt a deep inspiration to share with others, this intuitive painting process."

Intuitive Painting
Even if you haven't picked up a paintbrush since you were a child, you can easily express your feelings through colour and form. There is no right or wrong or good or bad in this method. You are free to express whatever is there.

Your painting will reveal to you exactly what is going on in your life and with the right facilitation and understanding, it will allow you to find the clarity to move forward positively.
Pathways open to a world of depth and inspiration. It becomes easier to decipher the meaning of your actions as they unfold.

“I really got a lot out of the creative visualisations and the intuitive painting. Images that came up during that part of the workshop, have carried on working for me.” said writer/actor Vivienne Vermes, at at a workshop with Helen at Taos Retreat on the island of Paros

What is intuitive painting?
Connecting with your feelings, centering in your body and allowing yourself to be guided intuitively to create form, colour and composition without conscious control.

What are the benefits of intuitive painting?
Learning to express yourself creatively through painting helps you overcome your inner critic and allows you to express your artistic side more freely. Being allowed to ‘play’ without judgement and control develops your intuitive muscle and brings you a feeling of freedom. Your painting will reveal to you exactly what is going on in your life and with expert help, allow you to find the clarity to move forward positively.

How can you use intuitive painting as a healing tool?
A lack of ability to communicate verbally can often be overcome through expressing shape and colour. We encourage people to talk about their art work, allowing the feelings and meanings connected with their work to be present, acknowledged and to flow in a natural direction. The release of long held emotional complexes helps to integrate experiences that may have been previously impossible to face up to.

Do you need to be an artist to paint or draw intuitively?
No. Young children have no concept of being an artist and naturally express shape, colour and composition as a non-verbal communication of their experience. It is only competition and your inner critic that inhibits this natural form of expression. We encourage all people to express themselves freely on a Creative Journey.
