Born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, Helen's journey through art has led her on many rich explorations in her quest for truth.
After studying Graphic Design at the Michaelis School of FIne Art, University of Cape Town in the 70s, Helen enjoyed a successful career in graphic design in the corporate world. In the early 90s, her passion to paint was ignited by an intensive course in intuitive painting, where she painted 28 paintings in 3 days. "It was as if my inner child was standing in the room, demanding I listen to my intuive voice".
Helen has more than 20 years’ experience in personal development, creativity and healing.
In 1980 she began her daily practice of focussing on the source within, called ‘Knowledge’ . This practice has brought her ongoing inner peace.
In 1984, Helen trained in Mental Colour Therapy with the late Lily Cornford and developed her intuitve skills through her training with Psychic teacher and author, Betty Balcombe.
Helen works as a facilitator of Inner Work, a process which allows a person to connect with their deeper truth, often buried in their subconscious mind. Her clients include indiviuals who suffer from a range of inharmonies such as ME, depression, back problems, emotional problems and cancer. More recently, she qualified as a Nia White Belt fitness instructor.
Following her deep longing to sing and play music, she began to study classical piano in 2000, and has since found deep pleasure in the world of improvisation and in toning her voice through the practice of exercises
She combined her passion for music and the healing arts when in 2004, she co-founded a new platform for personal and creative transformation together with inspirational musician, Robert Norton, called Creative Journeys. more...
Helen lives in London with her husband and daughter. She also has two stepchildren. (and a cat!)
