Born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, Helen's quest for discovering truth and peace led her on many rich explorations.

An artist and natural dancer, Helen studied graphic design at the Michaelis School of FIne Art, University of Cape Town, and has enjoyed a successful design career in the corporate world. But she longed to play music and in 2000, Helen began her first ever piano lessons.

She combined her passion for music and the healing arts when in 2004, she co-founded a new platform for personal and creative transformation called Creative Journeys.

Healing with Colour
Determined to find natural ways to heal 25 years of persistent sore throats, Helen studied Mental Color Therapy in 1984. The technique is based on the visualisation of colours from specific flowers and channelling them through the hands, to a various parts of the body.

Journey through Art
Helen's earlier paintings
were mostly centred around music, dance and movement. In recent years, they've gone into a deeper dimension with her exploration of vocal harmonics. She began painting whilst doing vocal toning and created works she calls her Harmonic series more...

Art of Movement
Helen's natural passion for movement, fitness and dance inspired her to train as a Nia fitness instructor. She has just completed her Nia White Belt training with Ann Christensen, former 800m freestyle World Champion swimmer. Helen plans to incorporate this healing art into the Creative Journeys' programme.
